Kids karate Life Skills
The skills that matter most aren't kicks.
Every kids karate class includes our Life Skills program, written by Dr Warren Guest (PhD, Education), with input from primary school teachers and psychologists along the way. You won't find it anywhere else.

How it works
A circle, a conversation, then practice.
Each class our karate kids take time out from training and sit in a circle to talk about one topic. Then they put it into practice on the mat, alongside their karate and basic acrobatics.
Talk it through
An instructor introduces the week's topic in language that suits the age group, and the children share their own ideas and experiences.
Practise it
The lesson carries into karate training: listening, self control, respect for partners and encouraging each other.
Take it home
Reading and good manners are rewarded, so the habits carry over to home and school.

What parents say
Parents notice the difference
It’s not only the body-confidence and fitness and strength the dojo imparts in their students, but we were stunned at first to learn of the personal development program that runs alongside the children’s classes mat work. Each week the kids take time out and sit in a circle to discuss issues such as dealing with bullies, respect, assertiveness, the benefits of reading and school, etc.

Enrolling her at this school has been hands down the best thing we as parents have done for our daughter. GMA is a positive environment for young people delivering a consistent and overwhelming positive message in a sometimes negative world.

This club/dojo has one of, if not the best children's program. Their curriculum has been meticulously developed to ensure your child cultivates values you would find in a traditional dojo, all the while holding on to the reality of current times.
